WordPress has a built-in Gallery feature that allows you to easily display a set of images on a post or page for your readers to browse through. To create a gallery, you first need to create a new post or page (or add one to an existing post or page). Before you create the gallery, you first need to upload images. Click on the Upload/Insert images icon at the top of the editor panel. Click “Select Files” from the pop-up dialogue, then select your images. You can select more than one by holding down the Ctrl key.
Once the images have finished uploading, click “Save all Changes.”
Next, select the “Gallery” tab from the dialogue box. You should see a list of all the images you just uploaded. You can now select options for your gallery.
If you want your readers to be able to browse through your photos one at a time when they click on any thumbnail, select “Link thumbnails to attachment page.”
Click “Insert Gallery,” save your post or page, and it should look like this:
If you’ve selected “Link thumbnails to image file,” clicking on thumbnails will take the reader to a new page with just the full-sized image. If you selected “link thumbnails to attachement page,” the thumbnails will link to a page displaying the full-size image, with links allowing the reader to browse to the next image.
